Druid

Strength / Intelligence · Shapeshift · Nature

The Druid is the newest class, built on shapeshifting and nature magic. In human form it casts nature and elemental spells at range; in beast form it trades into the fight up close. Talismans are its signature weapon, though like every class it can pick up any skill it likes.

Ascendancies

Partway through the campaign you choose one ascendancy — a sub-class that sharpens the Druid into a specific identity. The Druid has 2:

ascendancy

Oracle

Sees hidden paths — reveals unique passive nodes and manipulates 'visions' to multiply damage, including ways to guarantee critical hits. The more technical, higher-ceiling pick.

ascendancy

Shaman

Master of the elements; storms and an 'Apocalypse' skill rain elemental fury, with strong, straightforward nodes from the start.

Which should you pick?

Shaman is the simpler, immediately-strong elemental pick. Oracle is more technical with a higher ceiling. (The Druid's third ascendancy is yet to arrive in Early Access.)

PoE2 is in Early Access — ascendancy kits get tuned between patches, and the newest ones are still settling. Treat the descriptions above as identity and direction; check the in-game Ascension Trials or the wiki for the exact current nodes before you commit.
