Sorceress
Intelligence · Elemental Spells
The Sorceress is the pure elemental caster — fire, cold, and lightning spells with huge burst and screen-clearing potential. She's glass early on and leans on Energy Shield and positioning to survive, but scales into one of the highest-ceiling damage dealers in the game once geared.
Ascendancies
Partway through the campaign you choose one ascendancy — a sub-class that sharpens the Sorceress into a specific identity. The Sorceress has 3:
Stormweaver
Leans all the way into elemental mastery — stacking shock, chill, and ignite to amplify raw spell damage.
Chronomancer
Bends time: cooldown manipulation and temporal tricks that let you recast, rewind, and double up on powerful spells.
Disciple of Varashta
Commands up to three invulnerable Djinn through active command skills — a hybrid summoner/caster that times Djinn skills for burst while casting your own.
Which should you pick?
Stormweaver is the classic high-damage elementalist. Chronomancer rewards players who like cooldown-driven, tricky play. Disciple of Varashta is for you if you want Djinn doing damage alongside your spells.
PoE2 is in Early Access — ascendancy kits get tuned between patches, and the newest ones are still settling. Treat the descriptions above as identity and direction; check the in-game Ascension Trials or the wiki for the exact current nodes before you commit.
